How to use

Filling Water

  1. Switch the wall switch OFF and unplug the power cable from the wall socket when not in use and before filling, emptying and cleaning the appliance.
  2. Unfold the appliance, press the Lid Button and remove the Lid. Fill the appliance with fresh tap water. Do not fill water lower than the minimum volume (MIN -0.2 L) or higher than the maximum volume (MAX - 0.8 L) as indicated by the lines (MIN and MAX) drawn on the kettle before boiling. Never switch the appliance on while empty. Press the Lid down.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the Kettle Jug & Base using a soft, dry cloth if water has spilled onto the appliance. Ensure that the Base Socket of the appliance as well as its power cable (including its two ends - the connector and plug) are totally dry to prevent electric shock.
    Heating / Boiling Water
  4. Place the Base on a dry, horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface. DO NOT place the appliance on a soft surface such as a mattress, pillow, cushion or sofa, as this could cause the appliance to tip over. Damage may also occur if the appliance is placed on an incline or decline.
  5. Attach the Connector of the power cable into the Base Socket and the plug into the wall socket. Switch the wall socket ON. Rotate the ON/OFF Knob on the appliance clockwise to your desired heating temperature.
In the event you wish to have warm water, it is advised to boil the water first as boiling will ensure that harmful micro-organisms (e.g. certain bacteria) are killed.
  6. The boiling process commences. However, if the water level is below MIN, the Automatic Safety Cut-Off Function will be activated, which prevents heating. In this case, switch off the appliance and disconnect the power cable from the wall socket. Allow the appliance to cool down for 5-10 minutes. Fill the kettle will more water until the water level exceeds the MIN line, but stays below the MAX line. Repeat point 5. DO NOT collapse the appliance during the heating process.
  7. The appliance switches off automatically and the Red Indicator light goes off several seconds after water starts boiling. Turn the ON/OFF Knob anti-clockwise to OFF, switch the wall switch OFF and unplug the plug from the wall socket.

How to Clean

  1. Switch the wall switch OFF and unplug the power cable from the wall socket when not in use and before filling, emptying and cleaning the kettle.
  2. Pour out any water contained in the appliance. Wait for the appliance to cool. 3. Clean the interior of the Kettle Jug and Lid with warm water & dishwashing liquid with a non-abrasive sponge. The scrubber side of a sponge will slightly scratch the surface of the appliance, so use the softer side. Rinse the interior of the Kettle Jug and the Lid. Only the Lid may be rinsed under running water. Wipe the interior of the Kettle Jug and Lid with a soft, dry cloth.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the Kettle Jug & Base using a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with dishwashing liquid.
  4. Never immerse the Kettle Jug & Base in water or other liquids.
  5. Wipe the appliance with a soft, dry cloth and proceed to collapse the appliance. DO NOT place the appliance under direct sunlight for drying.
