How to use
- Place and use the appliance on a dry, horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface.
- Add suitable amounts of room-temperature water according to the food item being cooked and the quantity of the food item/s into the Water Tank.
- Place the food items on the Shelves carefully. Place one Shelf on the Heating Base, holding the Shelf by its handles.
- Place the Steam Rack on top of the Shelf.
- Holding another Shelf carefully by its handles, add this Shelf onto on the Steam Rack.
Note: not all shelves need to be used. When all shelves are used, odour from different foods can transfer across all levels. - Close the appliance by adding the Cover on top of the (Top) Shelf, using the Cover Handles.
- Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, dry cloth.
- To turn ON: Plug the power cable into the wall socket. Switch the wall switch ON. Press the ON/OFF Button. The Indicator Light will illuminate and heating will commence.
Be aware of the water level as it depletes while in operation. Heating will cease once all the water in the Heating Base had been converted to steam and the appliance begins to dry-boil. The ON/OFF Button on the Heating Base stops illuminating.
To top-up water, press the ON/OFF Button, switch the wall switch OFF and unplug the power cable from the wall socket. DO NOT top-up water while the appliance in operation. - To turn OFF: Press the ON/OFF Button. Switch the wall switch OFF. Unplug. the power cable from the wall socket.
How to Clean
- Switch the wall switch OFF and unplug the power cable from the wall socket when not in use and before filling, emptying and cleaning the Steamer.
- Wait for 30 minutes to allow sufficient time for the appliance to cool.
- Invert the Heating Base to pour out excess water. Wipe the exterior of the Heating Base using a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with dishwashing liquid The Heating Base may NOT be immersed in water.
- Wash the Cover, Shelves, Steam Rack and Measuring Cup (Caution: Egg Pin is sharp!) with warm water & dishwashing liquid with a non-abrasive sponge. The scrubber side of a sponge will slightly scratch the surface of the appliance, so use the softer side. The Cover, Shelves & Steam Rack may be cleaned in the dishwasher.
DO NOT
- Use warm, hot or boiling water for cleaning
- Use metal scouring pads
- Use any of the following agents as a cleaner: concentrated cleaning agents such as heavy oxidants, bleach, chlorinated solvents, gasoline, thinners or benzene. 5. Wipe the components and Heating Base with a soft, dry cloth and proceed to place them in their working positions. DO NOT place the appliance under direct sunlight for drying.
